Police will provide security for protesting lawyers and human rights activists on Monday, Government spokesman Eric Kiraithe has said.
"We urge protesters to cooperate with police on timings and routes to be followed for security reasons. Let them organise themselves and ensure no intruder interferes," said Kiraithe.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery had directed that the protesters be provided with security for them to conduct peaceful demonstrations.
Kiraithe said the government does not support extrajudicial killings.
