Police have rearrested a traditional herbalist over alleged defilement.
Kisauni Officer Commanding Police Division Richard Ngatia said he ordered that the suspect’s bond be cancelled and he be re-arrested barely 12 hours after he was released.
The man was arrested and locked up at the Bamburi Police Station after a woman complained that he had defiled his three-year-old stepdaughter.
“We were shocked when the police released the suspect on a Sh50,000 bond,” she said.
According to the minor’s grandmother, the suspect defiled the girl while cohabiting with her mother.
The suspect had reportedly lured this woman to leave her husband.
