The newly-elected Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has already kicked off the process of complying with the Sports Act.
The process was given the go ahead after the February 12 Annual General Meeting (AGM) that ushered in new officials to run the affairs of the federation until 2020.
Ken Ochieng’, the FKF lawyer, said they have picked registration forms from the Registrar of Sports and will soon return them.
“The previous office could not comply before an Annual General Meeting (AGM) but now that happened on February 12, the new office got the go-ahead to begin the process of compliance,” he said.
Ochieng’ said they will need at least one month to finish the process as the requirements are numerous.
“Requirements by the Registrar are many. We believe that in one month we will have all documents that are needed,” he assured.
These include Certificate of Good Conduct, Higher Education Loans Board certificate and Clearance from the Credit Bureau.
Speaking from Zurich yesterday, FKF chairman Nick Mwendwa said they are determined to comply with the Act as agreed upon during this month’s AGM.
