This drama explores the lives of young FBI recruits who have come to the Quantico base in Virginia for 21 weeks of training to become special agents. The recruits have been thoroughly vetted and are considered the best and the brightest - but each one possesses secrets, including hidden reasons for joining. One recruit - FBI agent Alex Parrish - is harbouring the biggest secret of all, and ends up being framed of masterminding for what is considered the biggest and most deadly attack on U.S. soil since 9/11. Alex is, however, aware that the bomber is someone from her time at the training facility. With FBI after her, the story revolves around her hunt for the terrorist with flashbacks of her time in Quantico.

Thumbs Up

The series features a well-balanced cast that complement each other. It has good plot twists and is entertaining with just enough suspense and action to back it up. Besides the entertaining thrills delivered through good cinematography, the show gives some insight into FBI training and functions while still providing drama.

Thumbs Down

Despite the good plot twists, overall the story line seems weak. The attempt to represent every possible minority community in the US and every liberal stereotype - feminists, gay people, Muslim women - further weakens the story line. The soundtracks are also annoying with loud love songs playing in every scene, some unnecessarily.

Verdict

If you do not mind obvious ‘copycatting’, think, How to get away with murder, then you are safe to give it a try.
