A girl who threw bleach into a teen model's face who was left temporarily blind and in 'excruciating' pain was warned today she faces jail.
Victoria Smith, 17, who models under the name Toria Melody, lost her vision in her right eye for a short time and suffered burns across her body.
Rebecca Morris, 18, who confronted the victim at a street junction after a party, has admitted hurling the burning liquid at her rival, which was so serious she was charged with grievous bodily harm.
The bleach entered into her eyes, mouth and nose, which caused her to violently choke. She was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary, East Yorks, with three of her friends.
Following the August attack, Victoria claimed she had not gone to school for more than a year and had suffered seven years of bullying.
At Hull Crown Court today, a victim impact statement detailed how the bleach had left her with permanent damage to her retina.
The pretty Wilberforce Sixth Form College student also complained of significant physical and psychological injury, but her claims were disputed by prosecutors.
The sentencing was postponed while further checks are carried out as it emerged Victoria had made trips to see a psychiatrist since the ordeal.
Morris has pleaded guilty to unlawfully and maliciously casting or throwing a corrosive fluid, with intent to burn, maim, disfigure or disable or to do some grievous bodily harm to Miss Smith.
After the attack, Victoria said: "One of my eyes is now physically impaired and I am blind in it, I will most likely never receive my vision in my right eye again.
"The outer layer of my eyes are permanently damaged and my hair has turned green from the bleach and has fallen out at the front."
"I have burns on my body from all the acidic chemicals inside the bleach and I am in excruciating pain in my eyes.
"They are red raw, it went in my mouth, up my nose and I couldn't breathe."
She also paid tribute to her friend, Bethany Wilkinson, stating without her, 'I would be completely blind and most probably dead.'
Victoria added: "This has 100 per cent set me back and I honestly cannot see myself coming out again for a long time after realising just how cruel bullies nowadays really are."
Hundreds of well-wishers left messages of support for Miss Smith on her Facebook page after reading details of the attack.
Morris was bailed ahead of sentencing next month.
