President Uhuru Kenyatta has nominated Major General Wachira Kameru as the Director for the National Intelligence Service to replace Michael Gichangi who resigned.
A Parliamentary committee will vet the nominee within 14 days and present the report to Parliament.
Last week, Gichangi resigned on personal grounds.
