Tulwo Girls’ High School sponsor, the ACK Church, held special cleansing and restoration mass service at the school following rampant claims of devil worship in the institution.
The Right Reverend Dr Christopher Ruto, the ACK Bishop at the Eldoret Diocese, conducted the service in a bid to restore the school’s integrity.
The service was conducted in the presence of the school’s BOG, PTA, headmistress, teachers and parents many of whom travelled from far and wide to participate in the ceremony despite the fact that the school is already closed.
“We can no longer watch as this school’s integrity is put to question. When a school suffers this kind of problem then the whole society suffers because our children are in this school. We are uniting in prayer to cleanse and restore this learning institution to its previous glory. With God everything is possible,” says Bishop Christopher Ruto. This ceremony comes after the school was put on the spotlight for cult practices, where the school’s headmistress Dinah Keter was accused of being part of a group of people who indoctrinated Tulwo students into extreme religious practices and brainwash.
Two students who had confessed to being devil worshippers were last forcefully removed from the school compound for medical attention and psychiatric help. They had refused to attend classes calling themselves ‘Queen Angels’ in a state of religious delirium.
The Bishop accused ministry of Education office in Kabiyet of being slow to act on the issue despite the fact that the sponsor had informed them of unethical practice.
Echoing his sentiments, the Nandi KUPPET Secretary General Paul Rotich, also present at the cleansing service, expressed his frustration at the way the Kabiyet Education Office was handling the matter.
