There is something fishy going on, or maybe Kenya has gone to the dogs. As the nation was reeling from the shock of eleven women — and one man — getting nabbed in a bestiality act, a man narrowly escaped the wrath of a lynch mob that caught him romping a goat in Mombwo Ndubo Village of Uasin Gishu County.
“Are young people going mad or what? With all the women on earth, how can a sane man choose to sleep with a goat?” posed an elderly man at the scene.
Locals said the man was caught by the owner of the goat following a commotion and incessant bleating from the livestock shelter.
It is reported that the farmer was scared of the uncommon movement of the animals in the shed, which forced him to raise alarm fearing that a wild animal had raided his kraal.
“We were woken up by the farmer after he made a distress call and we thought rustlers had attacked him. I was shocked on my arrival at the scene when I saw a young man paraded together with a goat he is accused of ‘sleeping’ with by those who had arrived earlier,” said a local.
Witnesses who spoke to Crazy Monday said it was not the first time the youthful man was being accused of committing an unnatural act with animals in that village, with some terming him an equal opportunity animal-sex addict.
“Last year, he was caught having sex with his neighbour’s sheep. And that was not the first case either as he was also in the past caught with another animal in a suggestive position. He has been accused several times for such acts. I think he is probably addicted to such, and finds it difficult to resist the urge and temptation,” said a neighbour who identified himself only as Silas.
The scandalised young man is reported to have sustained serious wounds from the locals, who were determined to teach him a good lesson for defying their previous warnings against his shocking penchant for deflowering livestock.
Consequences
“When he was caught in the first incident, locals forgave him arguing that somebody should not be punished for his or her first mistake. However, led by elders, they warned him of dire consequences if he was caught committing a similar act in future,” said another eyewitness.
Luckily, the man now known in the area by almost everyone for all the bad reasons, escaped further clobbering when police arrived and saved him from the angry crowd. The locals nonetheless bayed for his blood as the authorities frog marched him to a nearby police station with the complainant — sorry goat — in tow.
The fate of the young man is yet to be known with the locals vowing to banish him from the village, saying his presence would encourage such saddening incidents and influence other teenagers in the area.
