NAIROBI; KENYA: Eagle Coalition presidential candidate Peter Kenneth has urged Kenyans not to vote in leaders based on popularity and tribes.

Kenneth said voters should look at track records of all aspirants in their constituencies and current positions they are holding.

“Look at what each of the aspirants have done in the areas they represent. My constituency shows that I have the ability to develop this country,” Kenneth said on Sunday during a road show caravan held at Thawabu Primary School in Kayole.

Kenneth said the citizens’ interests should be put first, and not individual interests.

He said he has a plan to move the country forward and his handiwork will be seen within three years if elected.

“Other leaders say what they will do for you but they don’t tell you how they will do it. This country must be put first because it is bigger than all of us.”

He pledged that all his campaigns will be held at the grassroots because that is where most challenges are experienced.

Kenneth said his campaign in the next few weeks would focus on issues that are good for the country and he would ensure the country gets back on track to achieve Vision 2030.

He said he was the best choice for the presidency because of his passion to lead.

Kenneth, who has been taking his campaigns to different part of the country, has promised to provide security, roads, boreholes, referral hospitals and national polytechnics in every county.

“If we deal with these issues then the country’s economy will open up and this will help us create employment for the youth,” he said.

Youth

His running mate, Mr Ronald Osumba, said it was time the youth take up leadership positions and called on leaders who have been in power for long to step aside.

“We have been told we are leaders of tomorrow and this has never come. We have missed out on education and health opportunities and this is our time,” he said.

Osumba said the Eagle Coalition represents a way of leadership founded on integrity, service and spirit of excellence that the country needs urgently.

“I am done waiting for tomorrow living as a youth at the brink of hopelessness. I want to take an active role in moving this country forward. I choose to stand by Kenneth and be part of the revolutionary leadership he represents,” he said.
