Kanu National Chairman Gideon Moi has said the Jubilee coalition will win the presidency in the first round.
Speaking in Sacho Baringo County, he praised the coalition as the winning team and urged Kenyans to support it to form the next government after President Kibaki.
“The Jubilee coalition will be declared winner in the 90th minute and our opponents should not imagine of anything like extra time,” he said.
Gideon who had earlier registered as a voter alongside his wife Zahra Moi at Sacho High School maintained Kanu and the Kalenjin community would be part of the team forming the fourth government. He said that even though the former ruling party is supporting Musalia Mudavadi, it is ready to work with Uhuru Kenyatta if he emerges the winner in the nomination.
“Kanu signed the coalition agreement with UDF while URP and TNA signed their own but our supporters must know that we are ready to support whoever will emerge the winner,” he explained.
Gideon said he will be vying for Senate in Baringo County on a Kanu ticket. “Today Kenyan voters are to determine the future and direction the country will take in the next five years and those failing to be registered as voters are betrayers,” he added.
The former Baringo Central MP said he will be visiting the entire Baringo County to appeal to the residents to register ahead of next week’s Tuesday deadline.
He urged the community to take the registration exercise very seriously, advising local leaders to help spearhead the campaign on voter registration.
However, he announced that Kanu will have its own candidates in different parts of Rift Valley including Baringo, West Pokot, Kuresoi among others where they are expected to face off with URP aspirants.
