Not many men know that good grooming is an important part of attaining a fabulous image. Others consider it feminine to focus too much on your appearance, but it is obvious that you cannot expect to look good unless you take time to groom yourself.

Unlike women, it doesn’t take a lot of money and time for men to be in top form. Once you start grooming and make it part of your daily schedule, it will become routine and quite easy. Grooming habits vary from one person to another and also depend on the age and an individual’s tastes.

General grooming tips.

Shaving excess hair

Men tend to have extra growth of hair on their bodies and if not well taken care of, you end up looking shabby and unkempt. Shave excess hair that does not add any value to you. Trim your beard into a good shape that suits your face; otherwise, maintain a clean shave. Trim nose, ears and neck hairs as well. If you are keeping long hair on your head, ensure it is neat and well kept. Seek advice from a salon on the best way to maintain your hair.

Body odour

Body odours vary from one person to another and depend on what you ingest, some medical conditions, but the most common and is as result of sweating. Some men are, however, lucky not to have any odour. Body odour can be taken care of by watching what you eat, drinking plenty of water and bathing once or twice a day. Using body spray, anti-perspirant or cologne will also go a long way in masking your body odour.

Brush and floss teeth

Your mouth and teeth are important factors in your general appearance and odour. No one would want to hang around a person who has a smelly mouth. Brush and floss your teeth everyday to get rid of food particles that may be causing the foul smell in your mouth.

Keep neat nails

Having long and dirty nails is a put off. Having neat fingernails is a sure indicator of a man who takes good care of himself. If possible, go for manicures and pedicures to enhance your look.

Well fitting clothes

The greatest part of grooming is in your clothing and how you dress up for every occasion. Well fitting, clean and ironed clothes bring out the best in you. Most importantly, ensure you keenly watch your health and fitness. An unfit and overweight body is hard to groom and dress. Eat healthy, drink enough water and exercise regularly.
