Information Technology firm, IBM will today host their first corporate golf day at the par 72 Karen Golf and Country Club where a field of over 60 players will be brought together.

Dubbed the IBMers Smarter Golf Day, the afternoon extravaganza will see the participation of Kenya’s top corporate captains in what is being billed as the top golf event of the weekend.

Tony Mwai, Country GM IBM East Africa said this will be a competition like no other.

"To differentiate our golf day, we firstly partnered with our local partners including TBM, Datronics, Symphony, eBis and Tri-Con. We have moved the focus away from the golf and more towards entertainment," Mwai said.

"We want our guests to enjoy the golf, but more importantly we want them to have fun and interact with each other in a very relaxed and informal setting, it will be a good afternoon."

The team of Rwandan ambassador Bill Kayonga, Yassin Awale, Clyde Castellino and Microsoft’s Louis Otieno tee off at 1.20pm.

Golf veteran Amos Ngonjo will tee off in the company of Dr Wambugu, Alfred Lenana and Mwangi Muthee with Njeru Ndwiga playing Wachira Mahihu and Tom Mulwa.
