US: Police were called to the M60 in Manchester after other motorists spotted the man doing handstands 'to keep warm
A driver caught the attention of police when he was spotted doing gymnastics next to his broken down car on the M60.
Officers were called to the hard shoulder of the motorway in Manchester after other motorists witnessed the man performing handstands at the roadside.
When police arrived at 7pm this evening (Sunday), the driver reassured them he was simply trying to keep warm as he waited for assistance at the junction five slip road, near Manchester Airport.
Officers wrote on the North West Motorway Police Twitter account: "A report of a broken down vehicle on the hard shoulder male at side doing handstands.
"Police attended, he was trying to keep warm."
Officers warned the man that his antics were concerning other drivers, but scored him highly for his effort, reported the Manchester Evening News.
A further Twitter post said: "The gentleman was advised that his gymnastics were attracting attention.
"His vehicle was recovered and he scored 8.5."
