The influential lawmaker broke his silence through a post on his official social media platforms, poking fun at the intense chatter that had mounted during his brief retreat from active political engagement.
"Guys, ati mlikuwa mnasema nimeenda?" Ichung'wah posed in his post.
The accompanying video captures the Majority Leader making a high-profile return to Parliament buildings.
Dressed in a crisp blue suit, Ichung'wah is seen joyfully exchanging greetings and sharing laughs with fellow lawmakers in the corridors of power.
Ichung'wah had kept off political podiums for over a fortnight. On social media, he only shared photos of ongoing development and construction works in Kikuyu constituency.
His last public appearance had been on July 16 in Sigona Ward, where he attended the funeral of the late Hannah Nyairera Giterere.
