Former Malava parliamentary aspirant Rhyan Injendi Malulu has officially tied the knot with his partner Dorothy in an elegant civil ceremony.
The low-key but warm event was officiated at the Attorney General’s office, after which the couple hosted a luncheon for close family and friends.
Sharing the milestone on social media, Injendi posted photos from the ceremony alongside a Bible verse to mark the occasion.
“And now… Mr & Mrs Injendi. Mark 10:9, Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate,” he wrote.
Kenyans online flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages, wishing the newlyweds a happy union.
Rhyan Injendi Malulu is the son of the late Malava MP Moses Malulu Injendi and currently serves as a Trade Attaché at the Kenyan Embassy in South Africa.
He rose to national attention in 2025 following his father’s sudden death, which left the Malava parliamentary seat vacant. Seeking to continue his father’s legacy, particularly in education and infrastructure, Rhyan entered the race for the seat.
During the heated campaign ahead of the November 27, 2025, by-election, he aligned himself with the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party. However, his bid ended after he lost in the party primaries.
Following the September nominations, Injendi publicly expressed dissatisfaction with the process, alleging a lack of transparency.
Despite the tensions, he later chose to remain within the party, citing the need for political stability and unity among his supporters.
He ultimately shelved his ambitions in favour of David Ndakwa, who went on to clinch the seat.
The Malava by-election concluded with Ndakwa securing victory on a UDA ticket after garnering 21,564 votes, narrowly beating Seth Panyako of the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K), who received 20,210 votes.
Nonetheless, the contest was marked by intense political drama, including Panyako’s arrest on polling day and opposition claims of electoral irregularities.
