The family of the late Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno has suffered another devastating loss following the death of his only brother, Paul Ng’eno.
Paul died on Friday, August 21, 2026, while receiving treatment at a hospital in Eldoret, barely six months after Johana was killed in a helicopter crash in Nandi County.
His death leaves their mother, Mary Temas, mourning two sons within a short period.
Paul had been undergoing treatment after sustaining serious injuries, with his hospital bill reportedly rising to about Sh1.8 million.
Hours before his death, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua visited the Ng’eno family home in Mogondo, Narok County, where Temas appealed for help in settling the medical expenses.
Gachagua had pledged to clear the outstanding bill before Pauls death and also promised to support the family in constructing a mausoleum for Johana.
Following Paul’s death, Gachagua shared a condolence message mourning the family’s latest loss.
“To Mama Mary Temas, mother to the late Emurua Dikirr MP, Johanna Ng’eno, pole sana on the loss of your son, Paul Ng’eno, who had been hospitalised for a while,” Gachagua said.
He further acknowledged the painful circumstances facing the family, which has now lost two sons within months.
Johana died on February 28, 2026, alongside five others when the helicopter he was travelling in crashed in Mosop, Nandi County. His death shocked the Kipsigis community and sparked calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Paul was the only surviving brother of Johana and the only son of their mother, making his death another painful blow to a family still grieving the loss of the former MP.
