Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt has reportedly taken another major step in his relationship with longtime partner Kasi Bennett, becoming engaged during celebrations marking his 40th birthday in Kingston.

Bolt is said to have proposed to Bennett with a stunning five-carat ring during an intimate celebration on the rooftop of One Belmont in Kingston.

Family and close friends gathered to mark the milestone. The reported proposal added a romantic highlight to a night already dedicated to celebrating the life and achievements of one of Jamaica’s most recognisable sporting icons.

Bolt and Bennett have been together since around 2013, although they largely kept their relationship away from the public eye in its early years.

Their romance became more widely known in 2016, when details of their relationship began attracting international attention.

The couple are parents to three children. Their first child, daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt, was born in 2020, followed by twin sons Thunder Bolt and Saint Leo Bolt in 2021.

Bennett has also built a career beyond her relationship with Bolt. She is associated with Elevate Marketing House, a marketing and business-development company, and founded Project Kase, an organisation focused on supporting children and community initiatives in Jamaica.

Bolt, born on August 21, 1986, in Sherwood Content, Trelawny, is widely regarded as one of the greatest sprinters in athletics history.

He is an eight-time Olympic champion and an 11-time World Champion. He remains the world-record holder in the 100 metres with 9.58 seconds and the 200 metres with 19.19 seconds, both set in 2009.

After retiring from competitive athletics in 2017, Bolt has remained active in business, philanthropy and sport-related ventures.
