The family of the late Naibei has issued a public statement to dismiss "malicious" rumors targeting their mother, Esther Musila, and her husband, gospel artist Guardian Angel.

The statement, released by Esther’s son Glenn Naibei on behalf of his siblings, seeks to provide clarity on a series of viral allegations that have suggested alleged deep fractures within the family.

Central to the controversy were claims that Esther Musila had been disinherited or stripped of her rights to the family’s estate following the passing of her first husband in 2016.

“It has come to our attention that there are misleading claims suggesting that our mother has been disinherited or has lost her rights to any family property. We would like to state clearly and unequivoally that these claims are false. There has been no disinheritance of our mother at any point,” reads the statement in part.

Social media reports had further alleged that internal legal battles between the children and their mother were a sign of a family at war.

However, Glenn Naibei clarified that while the family did engage in court proceedings, these were normal legal mechanisms.

“Like many families, we have had internal legal processes over time, including court proceedings initiated to address administrative matters. These are normal legal mechanisms and do not reflect division or conflict within our family as is being portrayed publicly,” he noted.

He confirmed that letters of administration were duly issued with their mother serving as the head administrator.

The statement also took a defensive stance regarding Guardian Angel, whom Esther married in 2022 despite significant public scrutiny over their 20-year age difference.

Rumors have frequently painted the singer as a fortune hunter, suggesting he married Esther for her wealth or to seize family property.

Glenn firmly dismissed these claims as "baseless and untrue," stating that the family remains united and that Guardian Angel has no ulterior motives regarding their inheritance.

The Naibei children emphasized that their mother’s rights remain intact and their stepfather has their full support.
