Tanzanian gospel artist Christina Shusho has sparked online attention after she was captured kneeling before Mama Ida Odinga while presenting her with a gift.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Shusho approaches Mama Ida with the gift before kneeling as she presents it to her.
The gesture appeared to be an expression of humility and respect towards Mama Ida, the widow of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Mama Ida received it, with the two sharing a warm interaction soon after.
Her gesture has since drawn reactions from fans on social media, particularly on the manner in which she presented the gift.

The encounter comes months after Shusho paid musical tribute to the late Raila Odinga.
Following Raila's death in October 2025, Shusho released Pumzika Baba, a tribute song honouring the former Prime Minister.
The title translates to "Rest, Father", with Shusho remembering Raila as a reformist and highlighting his contribution to Kenya and Africa.
In the song, Shusho praised Raila's lifelong fight for Kenyans and described Kenya as her second home. She said the tribute was her way of standing in solidarity with the country as it mourned the veteran politician.
Her meeting with Mama Ida builds on Shusho's existing connection with the Odinga family following her tribute to Raila.
Shusho is one of Tanzania's prominent gospel artists, with a strong following across East Africa, particularly in Kenya.
Her music has connected with Kenyan audiences over the years, making her a familiar figure in the country's entertainment and gospel scene.
