Content creator and streamer Vindee has missed out on Kai Cenat's Streamer University Class of 2026, despite previously revealing what appeared to be an acceptance email during a livestream.
Kai Cenat unveiled the Streamer University Class of 2026 during a livestream on Tuesday, July 7, introducing more than 100 creators selected for the second edition of the highly competitive programme. However, Vindee's name was missing from the final list.
His exclusion surprised many fans after the Kenyan creator had celebrated what appeared to be confirmation of his admission.
Vindee shared the news during a livestream with fellow content creator Thickyy Sandra as they reviewed emails in his inbox.
While scrolling through the messages, Sandra opened one related to Streamer University and read part of it aloud.
"Your application has been received and reviewed. To proceed with the enrolment process..."
The wording led both creators to believe Vindee had secured a place in the prestigious programme, prompting an excited reaction during the livestream.
The clip quickly spread across social media, with many Kenyans congratulating the streamer and celebrating what they believed was a major milestone for the country's digital content creation industry.
However, when Kai Cenat announced the official Class of 2026, Vindee was not among the successful applicants.
By the time of publication, neither Vindee nor Kai Cenat had explained the apparent discrepancy between the earlier email and the final admission list.
The Class of 2026 features more than 100 creators from around the world, including Skai Jackson, Queen Naija, StableRonaldo, Sketch, DreamDoll, Plaqueboymax, JasonTheWeen and Aishah Sofey.
The programme also includes a handful of African creators. Nigerian content creators Carter Efe and Damii earned places in the new class, alongside Ethiopian-American creator Elina Meng.
Founded by Kai Cenat, Streamer University has quickly become one of the internet's most sought-after creator development programmes.
The initiative attracts thousands of aspiring streamers each year, offering participants an opportunity to sharpen their skills while learning from some of the industry's biggest personalities.
This year's edition features an impressive lineup of mentors and guest professors, including Pokimane, Ludwig, Duke Dennis, Lizzo, Maya Higa and Agent00. Fanum also returns in his popular role as campus police officer, adding to the programme's entertainment appeal.
