The concert is designed as both a tribute and a cultural showcase, bringing together multiple generations of artistes who have shaped Nairobi’s urban soundscape.

It is poised to capture the transition of Kenyan music through different eras, from genge and dancehall dominance to the current wave of genre-blending acts.

The lineup features some of East Africa’s most recognisable names.

His wife and longtime collaborator Wahu, known for classics such as Sweet Love and Ten Over Ten, is among the headliners.

Hip hop star Nyashinski will also perform, continuing his reputation for one of the most celebrated comeback stories in the industry.

Veteran performer Mr Lenny brings early 2000s nostalgia, while Kidum adds a soulful, live-band performance style rooted in East African rhythm.

Genge pioneers Jua Cali and Big Pin are set to revive Nairobi’s street anthems, while reggae and dancehall representation will come through Wyre and Nazizi, whose work under Necessary Noize helped shape regional airwaves.

Mejja will bring his signature comedy-rap storytelling, alongside genge fusion acts Madtraxx and Punit of The Kansoul.

The expanded roster also includes Habibii and Mannga, while newer voices such as Ywaya, Bebsol and Okello Max add a contemporary layer to the nostalgic celebration.
