She became a household name with roles in iconic films and television from playing Kevin McCallister’s determined mother in Home Alone to the eccentric, scene-stealing Moira Rose on Schitt’s Creek, a performance that earned her an Emmy Award and wide global acclaim.

O’Hara’s versatility extended to standout roles in Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the mockumentary films of Christopher Guest. In recent years, she also earned praise and nominations for her work in The Last of Us and Apple TV+’s The Studio.
