Diamond Platnumz's mother has come out guns blazing in defence of the bongo star, following criticism over how he handled a recent family health scare involving Said Mkubwa “Fella”, his former manager.
Sanura Kasimu, popularly known as Mama Dangote, took to Instagram, saying Diamond acted swiftly and responsibly by coordinating medical care and ensuring financial support without delay.
“Mungu atakulipia kwa kila ulichochokifanya,” she wrote, praising God while expressing appreciation for Diamond’s intervention.
According to her, Diamond sent Sh257,000 (TSh5 million) to cover medical expenses and directed his finance manager, Makame Fumbwe, to oversee Mrs Fella’s care.
“Simba alinipigia simu na kuniambia mama hujatoka na pesa hapo, mwambie Makame amtumie mke wa Fellah milioni tano,” she shared, illustrating his direct involvement in managing the situation.
The remarks come amid growing speculation on social media and within entertainment circles, where some critics questioned whether Diamond had done enough to support Fella during his illness.
The debate intensified after details about the seriousness of the condition emerged, prompting discussions about the level of care provided by family members and close associates.
In the post, Mama Dangote further revealed that plans are underway for treatment at TMJ Hospital, with additional medical care expected to be sought in India, underscoring Diamond’s continued commitment to ensuring proper treatment.
She also highlighted her son’s character, saying his actions reflected responsibility, humanity and gratitude. “Binadamu tushukuru, mtoto wa mtu akijitoa kwenye jambo la mtu tuwe na shukrani,” she wrote, noting that his support went beyond financial assistance and demonstrated compassion and moral responsibility.
Her post appeared aimed at setting the record straight amid the public debate, insisting that Diamond handled the matter responsibly and with genuine concern.
