VIDEO: Allan Chesang flees after fireworks went south during New Year's celebrations

Footage from a security camera has surfaced online showing a chaotic yet humorous fireworks blunder at Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang’s residence.

The viral video captured what was meant to be a glamorous New Year’s Eve celebration, but quickly turned into a moment of frantic laughter.

In the video seen by TNX Africa, Senator Chesang and his guests, dressed in red and white, were enjoying food and drinks outside.

Everything was going smoothly until the fireworks were lit.

Instead of shooting into the sky, some of the fireworks flew sideways toward the partygoers.

The senator and his guests were shortly seen scrambling to avoid the flying sparks, which appeared to “chase” them across the lawn.

Fortunately, no one was injured, and guests laughed off the mishap as part of the celebration.

Social media users quickly shared their reactions.

Gatumu Junior on Facebook wrote, “Hii kitu inawezafanya mtu apandishe pressure na sukari pamoja na chumvi.”

Another user, Siman Luly Rashid, shared his own experience with fireworks and firecrackers during New Year’s Eve, saying, “Watu watakufa na pressure, jana ilibidi tuingie chini ya bed, siamini kama hiyo ni baruti ama risasi walahi.”

Facebook user Benson Manyara added, “Mwenye aliset hajui kuset, but ni poa, wamefanya mazoezi.”

This incident adds another chapter to the senator’s viral moments.

Just two months earlier, on November 1, 2025, Chesang and Chanelle Kittony tied the knot in a grand traditional wedding in Kitale.

The couple celebrated their culture with family and friends, with President William Ruto attending as the guest of honour.
