Celebrated Mombasa rapper Kaa La Moto wedded his long-time girlfriend, Zubeidah Abdulrakman.
The Arabic-themed wedding, which took place in the populous Kisimani area after the evening Muslim prayers, witnessed the who’s-who in Mombasa showbiz turn up to witness the Dear Hip Hop rapper wed.
“I told you it will be a celebration and I am glad actors, artistes, promoters, club owners and a few politicians coma around,” said the rapper.
The wedding of the 27-year-old, born Juma Mohamed, arguably Mombasa’s best rapper, could be taken for a meeting of stars.
Susumila, MC Gates and Johnny Skani could be seen mingling with the crowd at the wedding, as well as Sebene star Amoury Beyby, who came adorned in a Kanzu.
“I have married my friend and if I were to do it again, I’ll still pick her,” the Karate fanatic said.
Kaa La Moto hit the scene in 2014 when he declared himself the hottest rapper in the game.
“I am good in music and that has seen me win the Best Hip Hop Award at the Coast Awards and numerous other awards in Tanzania,” he said then.
“Having worked with Kidis, Susumila, Ally B, and Dogo Richie among others, I can confirm that I am the hottest emcee at the moment. No one comes close,” he teased.
