Former Tahidi High actor Joseph Kinuthia famously known by his stage name Omosh and his family have laid their father to rest.

Sharing a picture of his father's grave on his social media, Omosh noted that even though life will be difficult without his father, he takes comfort that one day their paths might cross again.

"It's a long walk but our paths will cross again rest in peace Dad," he wrote.

Omosh announced his father's death on Instagram a week ago in a moving post, promising to honour his memory.

"You will be missed forever and always. The beautiful moments you shared with us will always speak of the great person that you were. Rest in peace Dad," said Omosh.

His fans soon flooded his comments section with condolence messages to him and his family.

The actor's father's demise comes a month after Omosh chose to leave his worldly ways and gave his life to Christ.

A video surfaced on social media of self-proclaimed prophet Victor Kanyari praying for Omosh to regain his star and fulfill his purpose.

“I want to pray for you. Nikuombee nyota yako irejee. Mimi napandiwanga mbegu lakininaskia Mungu akinianmbia nikupandie mbegu. I will bless you with some money,” Kanyari prayed.

Before his salvation, Omosh confessed to indulging in alcohol and wasting his life savings on the addiction.

Pleading with netizens for financial help, the actor promised to do anything to be able to fend for his family.

"I just want a job, even if I will be getting Shh200 a day. I don't mind about class and even if someone decides to start a hotel business where I can sell uji and tea, I am okay with that," said Omosh.

Supportive fans came out in numbers to provide for the veteran actor but he was unfortunately spotted staggering from a pub using the money he was given. Omosh quickly apologized and promised to live right by his supporters.

"I never thought Kenyans would get that angry; I thought they would take Omosh as a joker. But they took it seriously because they actually chipped in, they fought for it, they fought for my upcoming again. So Kenyans, please, I know you are forgiving, and I just have to repeat, I'm your brother, so please forgive me, I am so sorry. You will never hear that from me again, but what you'll hear is my entertainment," apologized Omosh.
