American DJ, record executive, author and record producer DJ Khaled recently got Kenyans talking after posting a video on his IG featuring Kenya’s beat master Motif Di Don.

The Beat Novacane, a moniker under which DJ Khaled produces beats, was promoting his upcoming 13th album dubbed ‘God Did’ when he released a short video of leading world musical acts.

The one-minute clip is a compilation of different acts from around the globe passing the information to everyone who thought success would never be possible and to all those that never believed in his dream.

In the video, Motif  is seen saying “ila Mungu alituaminia” to finish off Dj Khaled’s statement “They didn’t believe in us”

Elated Motif could not hide his joy and when reached by the Standard Entertainment team he said it was an honour to be part of Kahled’s video.

“I am so humbled for the opportunity to appear in a video compilation by DJ Khaled, where other major World musical acts have been featured. It is a win for the Kenyan music industry, not just me. Khaled is a top World musical act himself and this whole thing just justifies that Kenyan music has a place on the world map,” said Motif.

“We have been in talks for a few weeks now and when he personally asked we do the video, I jumped to it. We are definitely going to work together because even in this album I have contributed a few things although not in production,” he adds.
