Gospel singer Stephen Kasolo on Monday apologized to his daughter and fans at large after he was recorded issuing threats to his daughter for breaking a water bottle.

In the clip, the singer is seen telling his daughter to apologise, warning her that he will strangle her the next time she repeats the same mistake.

The musician has since taken to social media to issue an apology, adding that he never wanted to harm his daughter.

“Praise God my fans? I want to take this opportunity to apologise to my baby @shinekasolo and all our fans for the video which is going viral.

“I never meant any harm to my daughter and I never will, nevertheless it has brought a lot of tension on social media. Kindly forgive me this will never happen again am sorry even before God,” he wrote.

He has, however, disabled the comment section.

Among those enraged by the video was YouTuber Milly Chebby who urged parents to refrain from causing their children harm in the name of Social media validation.

“The video of traumatizing his daughter made me feel sick. Don’t harm your kids for social media validation,” wrote Milly.

According to a number of online users, Kasolo’s parenting skills might bring permanent damage to his daughter if not keen.

For some, however, the baby’s mother should have acted the moment her father began uttering such traumatizing words to her child.
