Gospel singer Veronica Wanja aka Nicah the Queen on Thursday took to social media to advise netizens on co-parenting.

The singer, who was once married to comedian and radio host Dr Ofweneke, said it is important to put the needs of children first despite the differences you might have with your partner.

The two have a child together and Nicah said their current spouses are fully aware of what happened and support their actions.

“Co-parenting ain’t hard if you let go of your ego, pride and bitterness. Put your child/children first and remember to them all they see is their dad and mum and not whatever you are picturing in your mind.

“To them their dad is their hero and so is their mom! Be bold enough to put your baby first. drofweneke we have done well! Congratulations Debbie on your graduation we are super proud of you. Thank you to our amazing and loving spouses @slahverdeejay and @christinetenderess for making it easier and always supporting us. Cheers to us!” she wrote.

Nicah is currently in a relationship with Slahverdeejay and the lovebirds have constantly pampered each other with love on social media.

Ofweneke, on the other hand, is currently in a relationship with Christine Tenderess and even proposed to her in August 2021.

Nicah’s post attracted a number of reactions from celebrities including DJ Shiti and Obinna, who lauded the level-headedness of the two in ensuring their daughter has the best life.

DJ Shiti: I Wish Baby Mamas could Learn from this...

Ogaobinna: I wish this understanding would be installed in the heads of many baby mamaz

Slaverdeejay: Proud of you my love

Suzzy: Understanding each other is key

Rashmolly: Maturity to the core

Co-parenting has been a thorny issue for the longest time and a number of Kenyan celebrities have adopted a similar approach.

Akothee, for instance, who has three baby-daddies, admitted that co-parenting is one of the hardest things she has done because of the back and forth that is sometimes involved.

“I had to make this relationship work for the sake of my children. None of my baby daddies is my ex, all of them are present in my life, we fight like normal relationships, until further 18 years of notice,” she said in a past interview.

Zari Hassan, who has two children with Tanzanian star Diamond, heaped praises on the Gidi hitmaker last year for taking the responsibility of being present in his children's lives adding that Tiffah was more than excited to be able to talk to her father whenever she wanted.
