Kenyan singer Masauti.

Kenyan Swahili RnB singer Mohammed Ali Said, better known as Masauti, has narrated his side of the story regarding alleged mistreatment at a concert in Mombasa featuring Tanzanian artiste Mbosso.

Narrating the incident on Instagram, Masauti said that the concert organizers were at fault, specifically a lady who he said was outrightly disrespectful.

The Kiboko hitmaker said the event organisers went against his wishes and agreement before the show. Masauti said he was not offered transportation to the concert and had to look for alternatives as he did not want to disappoint his fans.

Hakukua ata na usafiri wangu ili kufika sound check," he said.

Adding that there was no change even when the show was about to start, Masauti said he decided to let his management team handle the situation as he tried to focus on his performance.

However, his troubles did not stop there. Masauti said that while performing on stage, he heard commotion which he later found out that it was the said lady who attempted to cut short his live performance.

Yuleyule dada alitaka kunikatiza show katikati. Vita hivo viliendelea kati yao na uongozi wangu ambao ulipinga hilo wazo lao la kusmamisha show katikati. Dj alismamisha show kwasababu yule dada alimtishia kutomlipa," Masauti added.

According to Masauti, it took the intervention of Radio presenter Mzazi Willy Tuva to settle the situation.

“Mvutano uliendelea akaja @mzaziwillytuva aliyeingilia kati na kukataa mziki ukatishwe namna hio. Aliungana nasi show ikaendelea. Nikaimba na mashabiki zangu hadi wakati wangu ukaisha ndo nikashuka kwenye stage," he concluded.
