With South Africa based entrepreneur and socialite Zari Hassan back in Tanzania with a bang, it was not long before her onetime love rival Wema Sepetu waded into the fray to lay claim to a portion of their shared history with singer Diamond Platnumz.
“Diamond is a man that worships love. He was like my baby, I mean totally like my own. We took an oath that involved blood. We pierced each other’s finger then attached both our wounds to 'exchange blood'. We confessed that we are now one and we’ll protect each other. Then he licked his finger and I did mine,” opened up the former Miss Tanzania in a tell-all interview with Chumba Cha Umbea.

The 30-year-old beauty, billed by some as Bongo’s second coming of Kim Kardashian, went on to add that she was immeasurably pained for a year over the Wasafi honcho’s move to impregnate Zari, soon after her whirlwind romance with the star fizzled out in November 2014 after close to two years of dating.
"The first, second month and Zari is already pregnant. It really tormented me for a long time, almost a year. I was very certain that I was the problem… I used to look at Zari like she was living a life that was meant for me. So it hurt, just seeing Tiffah being born. But it's just life," said Sepetu.
A heavy confession that contextualized, among others, her defence for the singer on International Women’s Day, 2020 when she told off critics who bashed him for sharing a photo collage of all the important women in his life. “U always have a special place in my heart… And you know it…” She posted.
With that, the rumour mill went into overdrive, with some hinting that the pair’s relationship had come full circle following the exit of Zari and that the two could be warming up to each other. Speaking to Global Publisher’s, however, Sepetu’s mother, Miriam Sepetu, quashed any hopes of her daughter ever rekindling her love with the singer.
“Let me tell you – once and for all – Diamond and Wema are currently friends – that’s all. There is no way they will get back together as lovers. I am the one who knows Wema very well; she has a heart, which is very unique,” said Miriam.

Adding: “That is why you’re seeing her hanging out with Diamond, even after they went separate ways a long time ago. They are supporting each other in their respective business ventures…. Wema has her own life, and Diamond has his. Never will they get back together.”
