Radio presenter Andrew Kibe has hit back at trolls after his Instagram live feed with Kamene Goro on April 8 was used against him after he inadvertently exposed the state of his kitchen.
Defending himself after Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) screen-grabbed his Kitchen as he remotely engaged with Goro on how to prepare a meal, Kibe shrugged his critics off as nonstarters.
According to Kibe, there are more pressing issues such as the containment of the coronavirus pandemic and wondered why Kenyans were picking on his lifestyle at a time of crisis.
He noted that he had expected to trend for whipping out a meal and not for dirty dishes in the sink.
A few days ago, I decided to work on a video; Let me learn how to cook. Who better to teach me? Kamene Goro. So we had a live feed of me showing how I was cooking. The food was delicious. I knew Kibe was going to trend for cooking. But all you saw was dishes? You made me trend over dishes? That is what we are worried about… Covid-19 is killing people left, right and centre but, no, a pair of dishes is the problem,” said Kibe on Friday, April 10.
The controversial Kiss 100 presenter was days earlier also trending after he categorically asked Tanasha Donna to stop class mixing in her quest for love after splitting with Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz.
According to Kibe, Donna was setting herself up for heartache by not taking into consideration the 'class of people she lets into her life'.
"Stop trying to mix classes. He is a ghetto guy and this babe is from Europe and lives in Kileleshwa. You cannot mix classes, please. Even Tandale is more ghetto than any other ghetto we have in Kenya," said Kibe.

In September 2019, however, the breakfast host found himself in the cells after he was arrested at his place of work for allegedly defaulting on a 2012 loan.
Speaking after the incident, he decried the arrest: “Nilikuwa nimeshikwa, I am free now. Kuwa na deni si kitu kubwa lakini sasa akicome kunishika kwa stesheni sasa hio ni ungwana kweli? I pray that you treat your friends with leniency because ile mbio nimepelekwa my friend by somebody who I thought was my friend! Nimeoneshwa maneno so please treat your friends with leniency hata kama mtu ako na deni yako.”
According to the suit filed in 2018, Kibe allegedly failed to pay a Sh215,000 loan that he took on February 28, 2012, that he had agreed to repay with an interest of Sh55,000 within 18 days.
