The music industry is mourning the sudden demise of upcoming hip hop rapper Razz Msupa.  According to reports, Razz passed away on Tuesday, February 4 after a short illness.

Confirming the shocking news, Kennedy Ombima, popularly known as King Kaka took to social media to express his shock considering he had seen her the previous night and even prayed for her.

"I am now ready for 2021 too much going on this year, just saw you jana night and prayed, it’s sad that you are gone. Razzmsupa Tuko Ligi Soo! Safiri Salama," he wrote.

His wife, Nana Owiti, also expressed how broken she was after learning that the female rapper was no more.

“We don’t know what to tell Makayla. Why did you give up that fast? Why Razz? @thekingkaka and @darkskinmagero and I came to see you last night. You lay on that bed peacefully as you tried to fight. Didn’t know it is the last time we will see you breathing. We are beyond sad.”

PR practitioner Magero, who accompanied King Kaka and Nana during the last trip to see Razz, also mourned her saying:

“Last night at a time like this @nanaowiti, @thekingkaka and I came to see you in hospital, we saw you struggle to breathe despite you being on on the oxygen mask, this broke our hearts and as we left the hospital @thekingkaka told us "itabidi tukuwe wastrong" little did we know that, that would be the last time we'd see you alive on earth. RIP Dayo,” she wrote on Instagram

Femi One also took to social media to eulogize the late rapper.

“Sad sad news R.I.P Razz Glad to have known and worked with you,” she wrote alongside a videoclip from the hit remix.

A source intimate to Razz's family disclosed that the late rapper succumbed to an illness yet to be made public.

The mother of one was featured by King Kaka in ‘Ligi Soo’ a couple of years ago, introducing her, Wangechi, Femi One and Petra to the mainstream music industry.

After a hiatus during which she focused on raising her daughter, Razz returned to the music scene and made waves with her come-back single ‘Spit Barz’ in 2018.

Barely a week ago, King Kaka mourned the death of his longtime producer and CEO of G’Ganji production, Sniper.

“Woke up to more sad news. The producer behind my songs Bangaiza, Kaza Moyo and many others, a friend and a very infectious personality is no more. Goodbye Sniper. Tutaonana baadaye,” he wrote.

Reports have it that the veteran music genius had resumed his studies at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Juja before he met his death.

Sniper was on Tuesday evening reportedly engaged in a disagreement with a fellow JKUAT student who is alleged to have struck him on the head leading to his death.
