Two first-term MPs from Western Kenya are whispered to be madly in love with each other.

The politicians, who are both married, are said to be secretly seeing each other, but many reckon that it is only a matter before the affair becomes public knowledge.

A colleague of the politicians who spoke to The Grapevine said the duo fell in love at the beginning of the current parliament.

The MPs from rival parties are doing their first term in office. The female MP is slightly older than her male counterpart.

It will be interesting to see how long the affair, that has confounded their counterparts in parliament, will last.

A Chief Administrative Secretary, who was earned the post after being floored in the last polls, is being accused of using the position to fight the man who edged him out of office.

Supporters of the leader who succeeded the CAS, say the official is often at home uses every opportunity to discredit the politician in office.

The officer is a permanent talk-show guest at a local radio station every weekend, an opportunity he uses to trash the development record of the incumbent.

“He should use the opportunities he gets to interact with the public to tell them more about his docket and sell government policies, instead of attacking the individual who sent him packing,” complained a resident on social media.
