The God father of Genge Hubert Mbuku Nakitare popularly known as Nonini has landed a new job after he was appointed as the chair of the Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK).
Making the announcement on Instagram, Nonini wrote that he was honoured to get the post and said that he was ready to serve.
“Really humbled being appointed Chairman for Performers Rights Society of Kenya and ready to serve for music industry to take us to greater heights but most of all thanks to my board @priskkenya for believing in me,” wrote Nonini.
He now leads the organization whose board boasts other notable entertainment personalities such as Iddi (Beatrice Achieng), Nameless (David Mathenge), Irene Kariuki, Daddy Owen (Owen Mwatia), Ian Mbugua and SK Blue (Samuel Kuria). They are all directors.
PRISK is an organization that represents performers in the musical and dramatic works and is mandated with collecting and distributing royalties.
