The anxiety among those eying Cabinet seats is said to have created a network of cartels extorting money from them with a promise that they will make it to Jubilee administration’s new-look Cabinet.
Grapevine is aware that some individuals, who purport to be close to State House are on overdrive to ensure they mint millions from unsuspecting former politicians especially from Western who are desperate to make it to Uhuru’s second cabinet.
It is understood that the former lawmakers are ready to part with millions just to make it to the list.
Grapevine has it that the cartels are asking as much as Sh20 million from hopefuls promising them nothing short of a Cabinet seat.
