A renowned lawmaker from the North Rift shocked his constituents when he turned up at the county end-of-year party while high as a kite.

The  MP, elected on a Jubilee ticket, and who is doing his third term in office, made a complete fool of himself at the fete on new year’s eve that was  well-attended by county residents.

When he was given a chance speak, the barely incoherent legislator decided to throw jabs at the Governor and other county leaders present.

This did not go down well with those in attendance, pastors included, who booed him.

He was whisked out of the function and his aides asked to drive him home so that he takes a nap and sobers up.

The strictness of a Governor from a county in Western Kenya could soon cause a rift between him and senior members of his administrations.

Since taking over the office, the county boss who is doing his first term in insists on scrutinizing every transaction made by his officers.

This move has angered some top county officials, who wonder why their boss wants to be the one calling the shots even in matters that he can clearly delegate.

One of disgruntled county officials told Grapevine that the Governor should let them work since they are well qualified and experienced people.
