National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga on Tuesday revealed that his late son Fidel Odinga is still on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) register.
Speaking to Radio Maisha, Mr Odinga claimed that despite his son Fidel passing on in 2015, his name had not been expunged from the IEBC register.
“ati wanasema walisafisha register, mtoto yangu alifariki 2015, Fidel Odinga, jina yake iko kwa hiyo register,” said Odinga.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader also lamented that the supposed audit and cleanup by KPMG had achieved nothing.
“Ile ambayo ni ya kushangaza ukiweka ID card 00 jina inatoka, ukiweka 11 jina inatoka, ile uchafu tulikua ambae tumegundua mapema wakasema wataenda kusafisha bado imo pale pale,” he added.

Odinga noted that they as the opposition were closely monitoring every undertaking by the IEBC ahead of the August 8 polls.
“tunaangalia IEBC na microscope, tunaangalia kila kitu ambayo wanafanya, ile njama yote wanapanga, watu wangu wako kila mahaliwanaangalia, wanaangazwa, maanake mjinga ameerefuka,” the former premier declared.
He further revealed that the opposition was planning a major event at the Kamukunji grounds on the 7th of July, famously known as Saba Saba.
