After saying that he did not want a nomination, Pitson gets nominated for coveted Groove Male artiste
With so much pressure within the industry, staying up to par with one’s personal life and projects can prove to be a challenging affair. Such is the case Lingala ya Yesu hit maker Pitson, who announced that he didn’t want a nomination in this year’s Groove Awards.
With so many artistes hoping and praying for a chance to be on the coveted nominee list, one would wonder why Pitson would turn down the chance to shine.
The star however affirmed that he wanted to focus on his music album and personal brand.
“I want to focus on my album which is long overdue. I am guided by God and this is my year to stay away and work on my music and brand,” he said.
To further emphasize just how much he didn’t want to be on the nomination list this year, Pitson added that the organizers already knew his stand and that he would be pissed off if at his name showed up on the nomination lists.
“I will be pissed off and will not take it lightly because organisers are aware of it. I believe men give awards and God gives rewards. Hopefully, next year I will be back.” He added
Well, it seems that Pitson will have to contend with the fact that Groove Organizers saw it fit to put him on the Male Artiste of the year category despite his pleas. The question remains whether or not he shall seek votes. Better yet, how many votes he will amass without moving a muscle or soliciting for votes from his fans.
