Arguably Africa’s finest artistes, Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz and Wizkid from Nigeria are set to release their first ever collaboration.

In a much-anticipated move Wizkid, who is also known as StarBoy, broke the news over the weekend after the two met in Dubai for the annual One Africa Music Fest.

Fans have, for some time now, been asking the two to work together. The song might just be one of Africa’s greatest hits if their talent is anything to go by.

Diamond and his Wasafi Records team are set to host their annual music concert in Tanzania early next month. Afterwards, he will travel to Kenya for a series of New Year events.

Diamond and his Wasafi team have been having legal issues with the Tanzanian government, the latest being the ban of their new release Mwanza, which has been termed vulgar and with sexual connotation. Ironically, the hit has received overwhelming YouTube views.

The song cost Diamond’s Wasafi company Sh403,000 in fines, with the government warning that it should be pulled down from all social media platforms and not be presented during the annual Wasafi Festival.
