It has been over a year since sources in the Mandela family confirmed that the traditional utski ceremony, meant to introduce a prospective bride to the family’s ancestors, was held.
South African media even reported that lobola (bride price) negotiations had been completed.
The last time we heard about the couple was during Mandela’s memorial service, which she attended together with her family.

“The day there will be any news, I will let you know. For now, I just want my private life to remain private,” she told Heads Up.
Kipsanga Metto, Natasha’s father, has in the past hinted at the possibility of the union during an interview with the The Nairobian.
He, however, requested us to “talk to Natasha before he could comment.”
