Away from the fast-paced life of indulgence, Roysambu is also the address of high-profile personalities who lead a quiet life along Mirema Road.
These people are unlike their boisterous and youthful neighbours.
They prefer getting to their homes from Safari Park Hotel off Thika Highway and never venture towards Lumumba Drive.
“That is a generation in its own world. It is an upmarket estate that is quiet. They cannot fit in this setting, with these kind of youngsters,” says Frank Kimani, 88, one of the oldest residents of Roysambu.
The gated Safari Park View estate hosts among others former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando, gospel musician Ben Githae, popular Kameme FM radio presenter Muthoni wa Kirumba, former Tusker Project Fame reality show principal Hellen Akoth Mtawali and a former Coast MP.
Other notables who reside in Roysambu include Tanzania-born, but Kenya-based musician Nesphory Simbiga, better known by his stage name Kidis, as well as high-profile radio and television journalists.
