A 29-year-old house help has landed herself in trouble for allegedly breastfeeding her employer’s child while she was away at work.

Rebbeca Sang was charged with offense of breastfeeding an 11 months old baby at Nairobi’s South B estate. Police said that the minor had been left in custody of accused person for four days while the mother was away in Mogadishu.

When she returned, she decided to check on the secret camera TV how her baby and the nanny had been living, only for her worst fears to be confirmed.

It turned out that the house-help had been breastfeeding the toddler. In her defense, the help claimed the child was only playing with her breasts not feeding.

She was arrested and arraigned before a court in Makadara where she denied the charge. She was granted cash bail of Sh50, 000. The case will be mentioned on April 16.
