When you think of celebrities, especially musicians, lavish lifestyles typically come to mind. But some of them live relatively frugally as others are notorious for faking their lifestyles on social media.
Tanzanian singer Ali Saleh Kiba alias Ali Kiba has revealed how he manages to keep his family away from the limelight, regardless of his fame.
Speaking to Global TV, Kiba revealed that he separates his family from celebrity status by living a real-life like any other citizen, adding that he prefers living a normal life where everyone is free to mingle with him.
"Kwa sababu tunaishi maisha ambayo yako real, mimi naishi kama nyinyi mnavyo ishi, mimi siishi ki-star. Nikisema niishi ki-star mtaniogopa kwa sababu naeza kuishi ki-star," said Kiba.
The veteran artist also urged Tanzanian artistes to forget their differences and work together.

Earlier last month, the singer announced his full commitment to music after a short break that saw him engage in football. He explained that he ventured into football so that he could promote his energy drink business.
“No niliji-engage na football kwa sababu ya business, am a businessman now, lakini vile vila nafanya muziki, niko serious kabisaa, am musician, am not a footballer. Niliji-engage tu na football kwa sababu ya business yangu ya energy drink," he said.
