The much anticipated Big Brother Africa show has been cancelled. A statement from M-net read in part:
“At the moment, the team are busy re-evaluating the strategic direction of Big Brother Africa. We wish to thank Big Brother Africa fans far and wide for their continuous support over the past editions and promise that the show will go on, on DStv, with new and exciting productions in store from M-Net.”
The reality show, which was last held in 2014 and was also cancelled last year after M-net failed to secure sponsors.
Some of the celebrities who have represented Kenya in the competition include controversial rapper Prezzo and socialite Huddah Monroe, Malonza among others.
