Kakamega, Kenya: A man accused of handling stolen goods turned the heat on police officers in court, accusing them of demanding a bribe from him.
Desterious Matasio told Resident Magistrate F Makayo that the police implicated him after he failed to 'comply with their demands'.
Matasio was charged that on December 31 in Likhobero village he was found transporting goods without receipts.
The prosecution said when asked to produce receipt for the goods, he failed to do so.
On taking plea Matasio denied the charge saying he had confidence that no one would claim the goods.
