The Ministry of Health on Friday advised Kenyans on how they should sneeze as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Through a tweet seen by Ureport, the Ministry advised Kenyans to cover their noses and mouths with a cloth when coughing.

“Remember to cover your nose & mouth when coughing or sneezing with a cloth or in your flexed elbow & NOT your hands to prevent spread to others.

“Go to the doctor if you have a fever, cough or feel that it is difficult to breathe,” read the message.

However, Kenyans online were far from impressed as they put the Ministry on the spot for not putting adequate measures in place to fight the virus.

Here are some of the reactions:

Neslon Carter: Nkt sasa izi n nini mnatuambia after you've brought in the virus now u are here telling us on how to prevent it.

Callen Omae: Acha kutuambiaambia tufunge midomo na pua,,hebu shughulikia hizo ndege zinaingia ingia tu vile tunataka. Yaani mataifa yanayojiweza kutuzidi sisi yanafunga mipaka, Kenya ni nani

Timothy: Stop chinese flights

Sammy Monoo: Your response to the disaster is null and void. Thanks to internet we can do better without you. Keep sleeping shenanigans!

Rotich: Instead of preventing it... You're inviting then give us advice of how not to spread....this govt is so reckless

Zea Mays: You better procure the right kits and equip the likes of KEMRI, coz due to your laxity it seems we are headed for a disaster.
