Police in India are investigating mysterious deaths of two Kenyans whose bodies were found in a hostel in Gurugram Southwest of New Delhi, on Tuesday.
According to the Indian police, the two, man and a woman, may have died three days earlier before their bodies were discovered.
"We received complaints that smell was coming from the accommodation of two Kenyan nationals, one of whom is a lady and used to work as a teacher in a school, and the other is her friend," said ACP Crime, Gurugram, Preet Pal Singh, as reported by Indian media NDTV.
The officers said they were forced to break into the hostels, after which they found the bodies in a bad state.
"Upon breaking in the accommodation, the body of the lady was found lying on the floor while the body of the male was found hanging from the geyser. Prima facie it appears that the body had been lying there for three or four days," Preet Pal Singh said.
