Activist Boniface Mwangi was this week bashed by his followers for allegedly hiding behind activism to show how comfortably he is living.

He was complaining about spending hours in traffic every day because of lawmakers who often drive on the wrong side but many Kenyans had an issue with the photo he uploaded of his children resting inside a car with an elegant interior.

“I spend at least 3hrs in traffic every day while taking and picking my children from school.

“The people we have elected to sort traffic and public transport issue, drive on the wrong side with sirens blaring. I never move.

“More motorists should block anyone breaking traffic laws,” he wrote on Facebook.

Kenyans were quick to react and bashed him for ‘showing off’.

Itzakh Munanyakhi: When people want to show off they apply all manner of gimmicks , just post this...

"Hello Friends,
I just bought a new car, how's the interior?"

Wanyahora Wa Sylviah: Instead of complaining.... you should ask Waititu how you can move the school near your home....yes

Pasta Mûrathe Ndungata: Hii activism iko na kakitu! A nice machine you have bruh!

Felix Mwandala: You know this post could be more relevant without the pic right? If there has to be a pic please show us the long traffic lane full of cars. As for now I'll just say kudos, cool machine...

Gideon Yator: Please turn yourself in bwana traffick offender! Buy baby seats and teach your kids to fasten their safety belts before you whine about the state and the traffic. You can't bring side shows on the safety of those great citizens bwana!

James Muriithi: Peleka watoto boarding!!! Na wakikuambia am not boarding walazimishe!!! ukae na Amani

Hillary Lisimba Ambani: Bonnie is right and wrong. Right that our traffic system is messed. Wrong that he used an image that does not depict the issue at hand, and which portrays affluence on a timeline with 'commoners' whom he should be fighting for.

Isaac Lang'at: Tumeona.... you have a cool machine Bonnie
