Former Arsenal, Barcelona and France forward Thierry Henry is set to become the new Monaco manager.
According to various news outlets across Europe, Henry will take over from Leonardo Jardim who was sacked earlier this week following a dismal start to the season – only one win in their first nine matches.
This will be the first time Henry is going into management fully after serving in Roberto Martinez’ Belgium backroom staff.
He was previously linked with a move to Championship side Aston Villa following the sacking of Steve Bruce, but the job was eventually given to Dean Smith, with John Terry as his assistant.
Henry began his professional playing career at Monaco.
